About Baz Janssen Building
Established in 2010 by Baz Janssen, Baz Janssen Building has been in business for over seven years, growing rapidly during that time – from just Baz, to a team of 14!
Based in Winton, Southland, we are your one-stop shop of specialists in building and engineering. Our siteworks and excavation aspect of the business is also expanding and is an asset to your project. With all our own machinery, we can get the whole job done for you without having to rely on and wait for other contractors. This guarantees the whole building process is time efficient and completed to the highest level of workmanship.
Baz Janssen
Growing up on a diary farm in Southland, Baz knows his stuff about the requirements of the industry. After leaving school, he completed a building apprenticeship in 2009, and then decided to go solo as a builder – promising to go back to the farm if he couldn’t get any work. It was only a year before Baz’s workload was so big he had to employ his first person and has not looked back.
Baz gives everything 100% and loves working with his motivated and hardworking team. He is passionate about completing every project to the highest standard, which is made easier by the fact that Baz has purchased all the machinery needed to get every job completed from start to finish.
Married to Teresa, Baz is a family man and dedicates any spare time he has to his family.
Teresa Janssen
Teresa is Baz's other half and mother to their four young children. She knows the ins and outs of the business and works behind the scenes to ensure that both the home and business run smoothly.
A real Southlander, Teresa grew up on a sheep farm and loves sharing the rural lifestyle with Baz and their children in Winton.
